I remember that when I was child and preparing myself to receive the communion for the first time it was told us that Jesus is a friend and we should  deal with Him with spontaneity and closeness, assured that He will never betray us.  With the passing of the years when I started to read the Bible and the Gospels I was always happy to find out that God in the Old Testament and Jesus then calls us “FRIENDS” (see John 15: 13-15). Every time I approach the Priest for Confession it comes to my mind that Jesus is a friend and experience His interior touching healing. Friendship is a great miracle! As human beings we know that the love which is the foundation of friendship can get weaker and be lost and so friendship can disappear. But in our relationship with Jesus we know very well that on His side He will never break His friendship which is everlasting with each one of us. So we are advantaged because we know that He, Jesus, is our friend for ever. It depends on us to put all the effort to keep this friendship. How do we do it? Living with a disciplined prayer life: this will save us as Christians, Religious and Priests. We have to fill our minds and hearts with a desire for God! Our identity as Rogationists  reminds us that this should be the aim to which we are journeying to on our daily life. St. John Mary Vianney and St. Hannibal M. Di Francia are models  who teach us how to keep and deepen our friendship with Jesus.
