ROGATIONISTS OF THE HEART OF JESUS | DAUGHTERS OF DIVINE ZEAL
St. Hannibal Mary Di Francia founded two Religious Congregations: the Daughters of Divine Zeal (FDZ) (1887) and the Rogationists of the Heart of Jesus (RCJ) (1897), so that the charism of the Rogate could be spread and lived out in the Church and society. FDZ and RCJ religious strive for the fulfillment of Jesus' commandment, "Pray to the Lord of the harvest to send laborers into his harvest" (cf. Mt 9:38 and Lk 10:2). This means that they pray daily for vocations, spread this prayer and strive to be good workers.
Names of Congregations
The name "Rogationist" indicates, from the etymological root, prayer and action (rogatio+actio). The name "Daughters of Divine Zeal" highlights the essence of this prayer: zeal and ardor of the Heart of Jesus, who has mercy on the weary and dejected multitudes. Together, Rogationists and Daughters of Divine Zeal are called to live and watch over this charism, so necessary and profound in the Church and society.
Witnesses of the Rogate
Rogationists and Daughters of Divine Zeal share the "compassion" of the Heart of Christ and are inflamed by their own "zeal." As sons and daughters who accept the commandment of the Rogate, they assume their consecration and live it with intensity, according to the charismatic inspirations of St. Hannibal Mary.
