On June 1, 2024, marking the anniversary of the Fr. Founder’s blessed transitus, the Rogationists of the St. Matthew Province held a modest yet meaningful celebration of the Solemnity of St. Hannibal Mary Di Francia at the Father Hannibal Formation Center, in Merville Park, Parañaque City. The occasion formed as part of the catechetical series within the Triennium of Preparation for the 50th Anniversary of Rogationists’ Presence in the Philippines.
The morning was dedicated to exploring the Biblical Foundations of the Rogate, with Fr. John Joffer Lucas leading the discussions. After an engaging open forum, lunch followed.
In the afternoon, attendees watched the informative videos prepared for the 20th Canonization of Fr. Founder, followed by the ceremonial signing of Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws of Rogationist Seminary Manila Alumni.
The Eucharistic Celebration, presided over by Fr. Breynard Peji, marked a significant milestone as Fr. Francis Paul Escano, Fr. Ronaldo Paulino, Fr. Alex Clemente, and Fr. Elmer Dula commemorated their 25th Religious Profession anniversaries. Fr. Francis Paul delivered the homily, while Fr. Pau offered a brief message of gratitude before the dismissal. During the Eucharist, three of them made their devotional renewal of vows.
The festivities came to a lively close with organized games.
Representatives from the Rogate Family in nearby places added to the festive atmosphere. Notably, lay members of the Rogationist Family played active roles throughout the celebration.
May St. Hannibal Mary, our saintly founder, illuminate our path as we embody the Rogate in today’s world. Through his intercession, may the Lord graciously send forth more and holy laborers to His Church!
