The Rogationist St. Matthew Province, together with the Sector of Formation and Religious Life headed by Fr. Ronaldo Paulino, RCJ, gathered the incoming and outgoing Religious in Practical Training Stage for its annual gathering held at the Father Di Francia Center of Studies from June 19 to 21, 2024. The gathering was composed of Filipinos, Indonesians, Vietnamese, and Mexicans. The 3-day activity is organised in order for the Religious Brothers to be equipped for their assignments as Brother Assistants of the different communities where they will be assigned. During the first day, Fr. Ronaldo Paulino, councilor on the Sector of Formation and Religious Life, started the activity by presenting to us the general objectives of Religious in a Practical Training Stage, followed by the presentation of the Child Protection Policy of the St. Matthew Province. The following days, Ms. Sheryl Ann R. Dumalogdog, Social Welfare Officer IV, DSWS Field Office XI gave the modules on self-awareness, laws and rights of children, children who need special protection, ways to discipline a child, and lastly, crisis intervention. The encounter was fruitful and meaningful, for the brothers learned many lessons that can be used in their practical training.
