With the Aspirants
Fr. Bruno in his encounter with the seminarians points out the importance of the experience of living in the community life under the guidance of the formators and the importance of discovering the presence of God in their lives.
He highlights his message by telling them the importance of the presence of God in their lives. Fr. Bruno also encourages them not to be passive, to be committed in there studies, to develop friendship and also to experience joy living in the community life. He also invites them to find time and opportunity to deepen their knowledge of the Rogate, what ever they maybe in the future. The important is and Fr. Bruno reiterate to them the importance of discovering the presence of God in their lives.
Moreover Fr. Bruno told them to cherish their experience of being in the community. That is to develop true friendship and charity. That their experience of living in the community makes them mature. What ever they will learn; patience, acceptance, welcoming attitude, and forgiveness will be their tool in facing the future. And what is important in community life is they must learn in the community is to live in fraternal love.
He concludes his encounter with the aspirants by inviting them to commit themselves to what is required to them, in their studies, to nurture a good relationship, and always to have a heart with a poor.
Fr. Bruno encourages them to be happy and don’t be overwhelmed by the negativity of the world. And always appreciate God’s wonderful creation.
Fraternal Dialogue with the Confreres
In the afternoon of August 27, around 4:30 p.m., Fr. Bruno met with all the religious in the community for a fraternal dialogue. During this encounter, Fr. Dante introduced to Fr. Bruno all the religious members of the community and their respective assignments. Fr. Dante also provided the details of the community's apostolate, and the usual activities and schedule.
In his sharing, Fr. Bruno told the confreres that the community is built by the contributions of each member. Each one is encouraged and called to give and contribute. Fr. Bruno highlights his sharing by telling them the beauty of living a fraternal life- to live as brothers in order to build the community; to be united, and to overcome any kind of difficulties. Fraternal life is very important, although each member belongs to a different culture, the reason for the unity and for staying together is no other than Jesus Christ. The fellowship after Jesus Christ is the very foundation of living together - to be united in Him. That the unity; the fraternal life is the condition sine qua non.
Furthermore, Fr. Bruno told the confreres that each community has its distinct mission. The mission of the confreres at St. Hannibal Formation Center is to take care of the 37 aspirants. He reminds the confreres that the aspirants not only need exhortation but also need to see that exhortation being practiced and being lived. To help and support the aspirants, first by building a good relationship with them, to win their trust, to get closer to them, and to become friends with them. And to believe that they are being called, not only to those who are so good and so perfect.
Fr. Bruno told also the confreres that their stay in the formation house is both a vocation and at the same time a very important mission. The mission that is entrusted to each one is very great. Formation houses are the future of the congregation, and those assigned to these houses bear a greater responsibility. He also encourages the confreres to address the reality of decreasing vocations among the Filipinos, to work for vocation, and to support the vocation promotion.
