December 1, 2024 – Fr. John Dela Cruz, RCJ, celebrated his Misa de Gracia at the Diocesan Shrine and Parish of St. Joseph, Bamboo Organ Church, Las Pinas City. His family, friends, parishioners, and the Rogationist community came to celebrate the grace of priesthood to Fr. John through the ‘Misa ng Bayang Pilipino.’
After a procession from the Dela Cruz residence to the church, a short video catechesis was shown so that the people could understand and appreciate the “Misa ng Bayang Pilipino” celebration.
In his homily, Fr. Ariel Tecson, RCJ, the spiritual father of Fr. John, highlighted three Ts connected to the Eucharist – Truth, Trust, and Thanksgiving. He also reminded him of the reality of the challenges ahead while keeping him with the wisdom that his name ‘John’ means “God is gracious.”
Fr. John expressed his gratitude to all those who have been part of his journey. After the Mass, a simple ‘Barrio Fiesta’ themed dinner and program followed.
We pray for Fr. John that he may exercise his priestly ministry, accompanied by ‘Tata Hosep’ the Patron of Las Pinas, with zeal and sincerity.
Send O Lord, Holy Apostles into Your Church!
