November 8, 2024 (Philippine Time) - Pope Francis appoints our confrere Fr. Rene Ramirez, RCJ, as one of the two new Auxiliary Bishops for the Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne.

Fr. Rene is a Rogationist missionary in Australia and is currently serving as pastor to the community of St. Mel’s and St. Malachy’s Parish in Shepparton, Victoria (Diocese of Sandhurst). He is one of the pioneers of the Rogationist mission in “The Land Down Under.”
Let us pray to the Lord of the Harvest to accompany him in his ministry of shepherding the flock and serving the Church through his new office.

As set, the Episcopal Ordination for the Bishop-elect will be on February 1, 2025, at the St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Melbourne.
