March 30, 2025 Rev. Fr. Elmer Dula, RCJ and Rev. Fr. Tommy Latina, RCJ who are assigned at Terre Haute, Indiana, arrived at St. Donatus Parish Rectory, 1939 Union St. Blue Island, Illinois at around 4:00 p.m. (local time). They were joined by Rev. Fr. Orville R. Cajigal, RCJ, who stayed with them at the said place since March 28, 2025.
At around 10:45 p.m., Rev. Fr. Carlos Guzman, RCJ and Rev. Ryan Jimenez, RCJ arrived at the St. Donatus Parish Rectory who are presently serving at the Blessed Sacrament Parish, Sandy City, Utah.
Day 2 The confreres started the day with the celebration of the Lauds of the Liturgy of the Hours in the chapel of the St. Donatus Parish Rectory.
At 10:00 am, the Rogationists listened to the talk of Rev. Fr. Anthony Castello, SFX, a member of the Society of Missionaries of St. Francis Xavier, at a meeting hall of the said St. Donatus Parish Center. Aside from the aforementioned confreres, present are: Rev. Fr. Dante Quidayan, RCJ, Rev. Fr. RG Cagbabanua, RCJ, Rev. Fr. Mariano Rondael, RCJ, Rev. Fr. Jose Gasta, RCJ, Rev. Fr. Jessel Bangoy, RCJ. Celebration of the sacrament of reconciliation followed. They were given the time for personal reflection.
They celebrated the Holy Mass at 12:00pm at St. Donatus Pqrish Church, which was presided by Rev. Fr. Castello, SFX.
At 2:30 pm, the confreres shared their different experiences and insights while ministering in the USA. It was truly a great opportunity of expressing support for each other and strengthening bond among confreres.
Day 3 The confreres celebrated the Liturgy of the Hours and the Holy Mass at St. Donatus Parish at the beginning of the day. They went to St. Mary Parish (19515 115th Ave., Mokena City, Illinois) where Fr. Jose Gasta is serving as Associate Pastor. Fr. Dindo Billote, Pastor, welcomed the confreres and showed them the Parish Church, St. Mary School and the Rectory. The group also visited the Millennium Park and Navy Pier at the City of Chicago. Then, they went to St. Jerome Parish (1709 W Lunt Ave., Chicago), where Fr. Jessel Bangoy is assigned as Associate Pastor. They were welcomed by Fr. Noel Reyes, a Rogationist Associate who serves as Parish's pastor. They met Fr. Bruno Rampazzo, RCJ, the General Superior, and Fr. Brizio Greco, RCJ, the General Treasurer, who just arrived from Rome, Italy. They shared dinner at the Rectory of the St. Jerome Parish.
Day 4 The confreres were given time for personal prayer and reflection. Then, meeting with Fr. Bruno Rampazzo, RCJ and Fr. Brizio Giovanni Greco, RCJ followed at 11:00am in a meeting hall at the Rectory of the St. Donatus Parish, Blue Island, Illinois. They celebrated the Holy Mass at the aforementioned Parish. At 2:30pm, they proceeded with sharing of experiences and insights with the General Superior and General Treasurer in the same hall. Fr. Rampazzo encouraged the confreres to continue to be faithful witnesses of the Rogationist Religious life in the places where the confreres are having their ministry. Later, Fr. Greco underlined the importance of the Rule of Life, among others, in the administration of goods, which are provided by God to the Congregation. There are some clarifications made with regard to some concrete matters on the administration of goods. They had dinner at La Vieja Castilla Restaurant (13023 Western Ave., Blue Island , Illinois). Fr. Rampazzo greeted each confrere whom he will be meeting when he visits their respective places of apostolate in the coming days.
