He was born on November 15, 1968, in Gapan, Nueva Ecija (Philippines). He entered the Congregation in Manila on June 5, 1986. He entered the novitiate in Silang on June 1, 1988. He made his first profession on June 1, 1989 in Manila and his perpetual profession in the same location on June 1, 1995. He was ordained a priest on January 11, 1997 in Manila.
In the first year of his ministry, he was assigned to Cebu as Spiritual Director and in charge of the Benefactors' Office. From 1999 to 2001, assigned at the Rogate Center in Rome, he completed his specialization in spiritual theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University.
Returning to the Philippines, after a year in Silang as Vice Novice Master and Spiritual Director. In 2004 he was transferred to Manila, via Calcutta, as Head of the Seminary for Adults vocations, Treasurer, and then later also Vice Superior of the Rogate Center, Spiritual Director of the Center of Studies. From 2009 to 2018, he was Superior and Formator of the Center of Studies. Then, he was transferred to Silang as Vice Superior and Treasurer.
His ministry has been almost entirely in formation and spiritual guidance, and at the same time, due to his experience, since 2005, he had been called to serve on various Commissions in the areas of vocation promotion, initial formation, religious life, and ongoing formation.
He had health problems, due to diabetes, but he was careful in controlling himself, though this seems to be not enough. In the morning of November 30, 2022, he fell asleep in the Lord due to cardiac arrest.
Fr. Rodolfo left a great void in St. Matthew Province. He was a witness of human and religious virtues; he generously offered his religious and priestly life in service to the Congregation and the Church.
