ROGATE ET CANTATE
A song-writing contest in view of the 50th Foundation Anniversary of the Rogationists in the Philippines.
Theme: GRACE UPON GRACE (Jn 1:16): ROGATIONISTS' 50th YEAR OF PRESENCE IN THE PHILIPPINES
Mechanics:
This song-writing contest is open to all: Members of the Rogate Family in and out of the SMP Province and everyone interested.
Submitting entries will BEGIN on August 15, 2023, and END on OCTOBER 23, 2023.
In view of the Jubilee Celebration, aspects of Gratitude for God’s Grace, Conversion, Renewal, holiness, and Sharing of the grace received with joy, and other aspects you think are relevant to the theme, may be integrated.
Entries must be submitted to rogatemedia@rcj.ph. Included in the entries must be the ‘musical piece’ and an audio file of the song. Submission of music videos is optional.
The entries can be done in Filipino or English; if done in another language, it must be accompanied by an English translation.
A preliminary judgment will be made on OCTOBER 25, 2023. Only ten finalists will be selected and announced on the same day.
Only these 10 finalists will perform their entries during the concert, ROGATE ET CANTATE, on NOVEMBER 23, 2023, as part of the official opening of the Triennium preparation.
The 10 entries selected as finalists become the property of the SMP PROVINCE, who will have the right to use, modify, or translate the songs.
The First Prize winner is not automatically the official song of the 50th Foundation anniversary.
